WTF, NYT?!? I hadn't seen this article till now. I'm outraged, especially by Purington's monstrously callous words, ostensibly addressed to "his" embryo/fetus," but serving no purpose other than to chastise and shame "his" girlfriend. 😡 Thank you for saying just what needed to be said in response.

The most moving and authentic contribution I’ve seen so far from a man was Kendrick Lamar’s intense chant ‘Godspeed for women’s rights’ at the end of his Glasto set this weekend. Like all of us, this ruling had given mea heavy heart and I just burst out crying when I saw that because it was clearly from the heart.
Kristi Noem did a clever sleight-of-hand move this morning on CNN when asked about the 10 year old girl who was impregnated by rape , she avoided talking about or holding space for the suffering of the girl by angrily suggesting that no one was talking about the monster who did this to her. So not exactly himpathy, but strategically shifting the focus away from the pregnant childs suffering back onto the man. Is this somehow related to himpathy?
